Polos

Embroidery on the left chest is the standard. Performance polos can also take a heat-applied transfer.

Quarter-zips

Embroidery on the left chest, with a sleeve or back-yoke hit if you want a second placement.

Fleece

Fleece takes embroidery well, usually on the left chest.

T-shirts

Screen printing for larger runs, DTF for full-color logos and short runs.

Jackets

Softshells and fleece take embroidery. Puffers and insulated jackets get a patch or a heat-applied logo instead, because stitching through the fill leaves holes and puckers.

Button-ups

A small embroidered logo on the left chest, above the pocket if there is one.

Bags

Embroidery or a patch on a front panel or pocket.

Vests

The jacket rule applies: embroidery on softshell and fleece vests, a patch or heat-applied logo on insulated ones.
